DLA Piper was recognized in The Legal 500 Latin America 2024 ranking

On October 25, 2023, The Legal 500 Latin America 2024 published its prestigious rankings, recognizing fourteen practice areas and twenty lawyers from our office.

In the Venture Capital category, the guide maintained the Tier 1 recognition for the practice area, and our managing partner Matías Zegers was recognized as a “Hall of Fame” lawyer. Jorge Timmermann and Pilar Ay were once again ranked as Next Generation Partner and Recommended Lawyer, respectively, while José Ignacio Marín entered the ranking as a Recommended Lawyer.

The Compliance team also maintained its recognition as Tier 2, and Diego Noguera, Mauricio Halpern, and Andrea de la Vega were highlighted as Recommended Lawyers.

In the Energy and Natural Resources – Oil and Gas category, the firm maintained the Tier 2 category, recognizing Felipe Bahamondez and Diego Peña as Recommended Lawyers. Peña was also recognized as a Next Generation Partner in the Projects and Infrastructure area.

Amory Heine (Tax) and Luis Parada (Labour and Employment) were recognized as the Leading Individual category.

Sofía O’Ryan (Competition – Antitrust), Diego González (Labour and Employment), and Eduardo Araya (Banking and Finance) were recognized in the Rising Star category.

The following practice areas were recognized: Capital Markets, Data Privacy, Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A, Labour and Employment, Public Law, Energy and Natural Resources: Electricity, Projects and Infrastructure, Real Estate, Tax, and Competition – Antitrust.

The guide also highlighted the work of Marco Salgado, Rodrigo Álvarez, Carla Illanes, Francisco Arguëllo, Ignacio Abogabir, Natalia Cox, and Pilar Ay in the Recommended Lawyer category.
