The ‘exceptional’ Luis Parada heads the team at Bahamondez, Alvarez & Zegers Ltda and displays an ‘outstanding success rate in labour litigation’. He is representing Personal Computer Factory in a claim for unfair labour practices brought by the union, and handled collective bargaining processes for Capgemini Business Services, Productos Torre and Comercial Serpam. He also assisted LG Electronics with compensation schemes for key account managers, and Pearson Education on the layoff process of 95% of its workforce.

Bahamondez, Alvarez & Zegers Ltda has deep experience in advising clients on venture capital and corporate governance issues, and occasionally advises on M&A transactions. Practice head Matías Zegers advised Grupo Angelini on the implementation of voluntary corporate governance practices in the context of new regulations passed by the SVS; and Soluciones en Minería y Energía on investment in the company by Amerigo Investment Fund by means of a capital increase and a new shareholder agreement. Senior associate Marco Salgado is also recommended.

The team is permanent counsel to GNL Quintero, for which is has handled deals such as BG Group’s sale of a 40% stake in the company to Enagás, and the redrafting of its $1.1bn project financing agreement for the expansion of its regasification terminal.
